The Lee MacLellan Family Story
Irma MacLellan's family: the Bakers
Let's leave the Scottish side of my family aside to look quickly at Irma's family, the Bakers. The Bakers were of German descent.
Irma's father was Francis Marion Baker. Curiously, Francis was born in Kansas, along with his youngest sibling. The older siblings were all born in Indiana.
Francis married his wife Sarah Lavinia Sensibaugh in 1895, when he was 22. Sarah was called "Mom B" by her grandchildren.

Francis Marion Baker in Minneapolis somewhere between 1924 and 1926, as my mother was not born until 1926. In his lap was Sally MacLellan; Priscilla "Perky" MacLellan is standing.

The picture below is of the Baker family c. 1909-10. Left Francis Marion Baker, back Irma Vere Baker, bottom Marion Young Baker (Irma's sister), right Sarah Sensibaugh Baker. Irma apparently loved bows in her hair, a characteristic she passed onto her 3 children.

Irma's grandparents, William Thomas Baker and Emaline Elizabeth Heighway. He was a union veteran of the civil war, and listed his occupation as a carpenter.

Sarah Lavinia Sensibaugh/Baker in 1918. It looks like it's taken in front of a school house (?); perhaps she was a teacher at that point.
