The Lee MacLellan Family Story
GREAT AND GREAT-GREAT CHILDREN through Lee Foster
Lee and Renee had two children: Lee MacLellan Foster, Jr. (1978 - called "Mac") and Elizabeth Shipley Foster (1979 - )
Lee MacLellan Foster Jr. ("Mac")- GREAT GRANDSON
Lee MacLellan Foster, Jr. was born in Alma Michigan in 1978. Ama is a tiny city 40 miles west of Saginaw MI, one of those out of the way places where his father managed a Sonoco paper products plant. One year later, his sister was born in another small city, Hannibal Missouri, 545 miles southwest of Alma. Mac's dad must have had some of those Scottish peripatetic genes.
Mac and his sister both graduated from Clover Hill High School in Midlothian VA - Mac in 1996 and his sister Elizabeth in 1997. Interestingly Clover Hill is the same school where their second cousin James Clark graduated years earlier.
Lee Foster Jr. received a B.S. in Construction Science and Management from Clemson University in 2002.

Mac married Elizabeth Grace Reiter (1983 -) on July 16, 2011 in Charlotte NC. Beth travelled 800 miles from her home just outside Schenectady New York to get a Master's degree from Wingate University in Monroe NC. Monroe is a suburb of Charlotte.
It seems that Clemson University in SC and Charlotte NC were the magnets for Mac, Beth, and Elizabeth Foster, although their lives started hundreds of miles away.
Mac and Beth have two boys: Thomas MacLellan Foster (2015 - ) and Henry James Foster (2018 -), both GREAT GREAT GRANDSONS of Lee and Irma MacLellan.
Thomas MacLellan Foster is the only descendent after his father to carry on the MacLellan family name. And a family legacy will be handed down to him: the U.S. Navy sword his great great grandfather Lee MacLellan wore as an officer in the navy.

Elizabeth Shipley Foster - GREAT GRANDDAUGHTER
Elizabeth Shipley Foster (1979 - ) is a ball of energy, probably inherited from her mother Renee. She was born in Hannibal Missouri, a town where her father worked at the time. When the family moved to Midlothian VA she attended Clover High School there, graduating in 1997. Clover Hill is the same school her second cousin James Clark attended years before.
From there it was back to South Carolina. She graduated from Clemson with a BS in Economics in 2001 and an MBA two years later.
In 2004 she married Christopher Matthew Carlson (1980 - ) Chris was born in Arizona as the son of a Lt. Colonel in the U.S. Army, and his family traveled the world as a result of his Dad's different assignments.

Elizabeth and Chris met at a concert in Athens, Georgia in 1999. Elizabeth and Chris hit it off right away. It must have been love at first sight, as Chris broke up with his girlfriend that night! Within two weeks, they were smitten with each other.

Chris proposed in Dec. 2003 when he finished his graduate studies, and they were married in 2004 in Hartsville SC, where her mother grew up.
Chris graduated from Clemson University with a BS in Marketing in 2002, and a Masters in Human Resource Development in 2003.
Elizabeth, Chris and their two children currently live in the Charlotte NC area. Elizabeth works in the Digital Marketing department of Bank of America.
