The Lee MacLellan Family Story
Lee MacLellan Siblings
Sara Stull MacLellan birthed five children with her husband Angus Dominion MacLellan. The picture to the right shows the five children: George (called Ferd) standing rear was the oldest, followed by the only girl, Catherine (called Auntie Cass) in the chair; then came Alden (far right), my grandfather Lee in the middle, and Sammy (who looks almost like a girl) seated in front.
Ferd married Ruth Gennieve Plaisted and had two boys, Roger and Donald. Donald went on to become a decorated Air Force pilot. He flew missions in Vietnam and then Korea, where he was a prisoner of war for several years. Roger and Donald were the only males to continue the MacLellan line.
Ferd was only 32 when he died in a hunting accident.
Sammy was only 4 when he was run over and killed by an ice wagon. The picture below shows a typical ice wagon of the time in Minneapolis.
